"Our first "Gebzha African Festival & Silent Auction" attracted an impressive number of 700 attendees and raised $16,000.00 for our sponsored school, The Ethio-American Friendship School: A Global Care Unlimited Institution," in Awassa, Ethiopia. The funds are already wired to our Ethiopian partner and founder of the school, Yohannes Gebregeorgis, and construction is now underway. At the same time, our Ethiopian partner, Yohannes Gebregeorgis, was declared a CNN Hero for bringing literacy programs to thousands of children in Ethiopia."
