Global Care Unlimited proudly celebrates the first anniversary of our Ethiopian School Construction Initiative which was launched in November 2007 when our Ethiopian implementing partner, Yohannes Gebregeorgis, visited us at the Tenafly Middle School. Since then, Global Care Unlimited has raised $65,000 to sponsor construction of the "Ethio-American Friendship School," a 12-room schoolhouse in Awassa, Ethiopia, that opened its doors to its students in September 2008.
